  • Kalonzo warns Mutula against reckless talk

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called out Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior for implying that the region started getting fewer government appointments and development after the death of veteran Ukambani politician Mulu Mutisya.

Kenyans Who Served as MPs With Little or No Formal Education

In a judgment delivered in October, the High Court of Kenya gave a reprieve for politicians as it declared a law requiring Members of Parliament and Members of County Assemblies to be degree holders as discriminatory.

The ruling has caused a huge public debate in recent months. Some have argued that education does not guarantee leadership citing examples of previous leaders who served Kenya despite having little education or no education at all.

Gandhi, a man from an upper caste, became world renowned for his meekness, activism and controversies, while Ambedka, a man from the lowest caste, wasn’t necessarily a global celebrity but rose to become an Ivy League trained lawyer and father of the Indian constitution who changed the lives of India’s lower caste immeasurably. And so to date, as debate rages on as to who is the greatest between Gandhi and Ambedka, Kivutha Kibwana offers a solution to the puzzle. Kibwana brings Gandhi’s meekness and Ambedka’s intellect and commitment to changing the lives of the common man and woman, in his people-centered approach to governance.
