    Family loyalties keep Mahadik away from KMC election campaign

    KOLHAPUR: In a major blow to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Member of Parliament Dhananjay Mahadik has decided to stay away from the upcoming Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) election.
    Mahadik has been uncertain about campaigning since the last month, when the Tararani Aghadi allied with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the civic Tararani Aghadi is Congress MLC Mahadevrao Mahadik's brainchild and is led by his son Swarup Mahadik. Mahadevrao is Dhananjay Mahadik's uncle. Besides this, Mahadevrao Mahadik's younger son Amal is a BJP MLA.
