He is best known as a member of a South Korean K-Pop group, B.A.P as the maknae (youngest) and is the lead rapper of the group. He is currently signed under TS Entertainment.

Zelo was born on October 15, 1996 in Mokpo, South Korea. He has one older brother. He aspired to be a soccer player when he was young, but then changed his dreams to becoming a singer as he chanced upon music and grew interest in it. On November 24, 2011, TS Entertainment introduced Zelo as Bang Yongguk's sub-unit partner, Bang & Zelo. They debuted on December 2, 2011 with their self-titled digital single.[4]
2012–2018: B.A.P[]
He debuted in B.A.P on January 26, 2012 with their first single "Warrior".

Background Information: As of February 18, 2019 all the members’ contracts with TS had been terminated and they announced they wouldn’t renew. B.A.P initially disbanded on February 18, 2019, though, they were reformed on June 12, 2024, by MA Entertainment minus Zelo who’s currently serving in the military, but is expected to return as well.
