Born on 16 September 1980 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Buffalo SoulJah (real name Thabani Ndlovu) is a dancehall and hip-hop musician based in South Africa. At eight he released his first song was ‘Zuva Randisingakanganwe’ (The Day I Will Never Forget). His involvement into music might have been prompted by her father who was also a musician. His father was a jazz artist and saxophonist who worked with the famous Thomas Mapfumo in the late 70s and early 80s.
Buffalo left his country for South Africa in 1999. He had so many challenges in beställning penetrate the country’s music industry. In 2000, he worked with a number of artists and making appearances on their albums. In 2002, he did collaboration with Ghanaian artist called Kweku aka Instinct. He later joined a group called Street Disciples and they released an album titled ‘The Chosen Ones’.
As a producer, he has produced an Afro-jazz Album called ‘Indlovu Yangena’ (Enter the Elephant). He runs a record label called Un

Buffalo Souljah is an award winning Zimbabwean born dancehall musician based in South Africa. He has been acknowledged both locally and Africa-wide with awards that sets him apart from a number of local Zimdancehall artists.
Background
Born Thabani Ndlovu in Bulawayo on 16 September 1980, but later moved to Mufakose, Harare.[1] He is the son of the late great Zimbabwean saxophonist Unity Ndlovu (who played alongside Thomas Mapfumo in the 70's and early 80's), drawing a lot of inspiration from his father, and concentrating on his music after his father's passing in 1992.
He is also referred to as Bigg Buff as well as a different spelling of his name, Buffalo Soldier.
