ETimes TV spoke to his son, Vikas. We reproduce below the last one year of Nattu Kaka as told to us by Vikas.
"It was a year ago that my dad underwent surgery for was followed by radiation and chemotherapy. His cancer was so rare that the line of treatment seemed trial-n-error. He had 9 chemotherapy sessions- 5 last year and 4 this year.
30 radiation sessions followed. This was sometime around September and things seemed to be getting under control. But in March , dad developed swelling on his face. We assumed that it was a result of the radiation but the tests showed that the cancer had spread into his lungs.
