Jean was the oldest of 8 children of Evelyn and William Ford. Her siblings were; Maxine, Salatha, Willie Joe, Raymond, Charlotte, John and Geraldine. It has been said that Jeans middle name (Harlow) was the namesake of the late Jean Harlow who was a movie star back in the day.
Jean married Eddie Milton and together they had a son who was named after his mother; Gene Allen Milton. Jean had a great love for her husband, son and children, her son was her pride and joy.
In the early years, the family came out of Topeka, Kansas and settled in Omaha, Nebraska. Jean being the eldest in the family helped raise the younger ones. We looked to her as our big sister. She learned her life skills from her mother. Her specialty was cooking, collard greens, beans, cornbread, neckbones and chitlins. She could do it all. Another skill of Jeans was “pressing hair”. Staunton - William D. "Bill" Harlow Sr., 65, husband of Bonnie D. Harlow, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at home.
Born April 11, 1953, in Staunton, Virginia, he was the son of the late William A. Harlow and Maxine Woodword.
Mr. Harlow attended Robert E. Lee High School, and most recently worked at Valley Community Services Board as a substance abuse counselor. He attended Aisle 7 Fellowship and was a member of the Fraternal beställning of Eagles.
Music was his passion, always rehearsing some tune in his head and in-and-out of bands his entire life. Bill also enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He is survived by wife Bonnie D. Harlow, bygd his children William D. "Dean" Harlow Jr., Jessica R. Harlow, Heather N. Harlow, and Zachary S. Harlow; 9 grandchildren, Saera, Christian, Jaxson, Peyton, Caleb, Tavian, Jybraun, D'Mari, and Campbell; 2 great-grandsons Greyson and Gabriel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Cheryl, and Don and Sharyn; 4 nieces and nephew
